Established in 1996, QIMA Life Sciences is a Contract Research Organization that specializes in cellular and molecular pharmacology. As the life science division of the QIMA group, we bring together QIMA Bioalternatives, QIMA Synelvia, Newtone Technologies, and Monasterium Laboratory to offer a comprehensive range of solutions.
- Ensure smooth day-to-day laboratory operations, including consumables, stock management, and general lab organization.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of laboratory supplies, equipment and processes
- Ensure that standard lab equipment is ready for daily use, including troubleshooting, regular checks and documentation
- Provide backup support for procurement processes (ordering and receiving supplies) and logistics when required
- Support the Lab Manager and colleagues by providing guidance on routine questions, assisting in training workshops, and collaborating across departments
- Manage laboratory waste and ensure adherence to safety and regulatory requirements
- Assist with the collection, registration, and processing of biological samples (e.g., blood, tissue, hair follicles, skin organ culture, cell isolation)
- Preparation and maintenance of training and testing materials, and maintenance of positive tissue samples.
- Contribute to the optimization of existing laboratory techniques (e.g., immunofluorescence staining) and support the implementation of new methods by preparing materials, running test batches, and documenting results
- Use of immunofluorescence and light microscopy, perform image analysis using established software (e.g., BZ-Analyzer, BZ Viewer, ImageJ).
- Identify and implement opportunities for workflow improvements and efficiency gains within lab operations

**Qualifications**
- Initial experience in a biological research laboratory setting is an advantage, but not required
- Familiarity with basic laboratory techniques and equipment is beneficial
- Experience in tissue microdissection (e.g. hair follicle transplantation, microdissection of mammal tissue) is an advantage
- Good computer skills (Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word)
- Strong organizational abilities, problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Good coordination, time management, data collection and analysis
- Flexibility: Capacity to adapt to different tasks and changing priorities.
- Reliable team player with good communication skills, structured work approach, and a sense of responsibility
- Sound knowledge of English, spoken and written (company language is English); proficiency in German is an advantage, but not required
