Your mission

The data team is responsible for the strategic analysis, conception and implementation of creating a scalable infrastructure.

We are looking for a data scientist to support current and upcoming projects in the exciting field of satellite data processing and analysis. As a data scientist, you support the data team with the help of our processing methods which provide statistical information on various spatial reference levels.

This is a partnership-heavy role. As a member of the data team, you will be in connection with projects which includes analytics, machine learning modeling, tooling, microservices and more.

Aufgaben
- Working closely with leadership, engineers, product owners and data scientist to understand data needs.
- Design, build and launch extremely efficient and reliable data pipelines to move data across a number of platforms including Data Warehouse, online caches and real-time systems.
- Educate your colleagues: Use your data and analytics experience to ‘see what’s missing’, identifying and addressing gaps in their existing logging and processes.
- Leverage data and business principles to solve large scale web, mobile and data infrastructure problems.
- Build data expertise and own data quality for your areas.

Qualifikation

Minimum qualifications
- 5+ years of skills in statistical analysis and machine learning with python or R
- 5+ years of experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL and PostGIS), QGIS, web technologies (e.g., JavaScript)
- 3+ years of experience with running ML/AI Applications in Kubernetes with e.g., Kubeflow, TensorFlow Serve
- Profound knowledge on CI/CD with e.g., Open Shift/Rancher/Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins, etc. you support the whole development team
- Experience analyzing data to discover opportunities and address gaps.
- Preferred qualifications
- Experience with more than one coding language. Python is a priority.
- Experience with workflow management systems (e.g., Apache Airflow, Argo,)
- Several years of professional experience in software development with ML/AI and image processing background.
- Experience with data quality and validation.
- Experience with anomaly/outlier detection.
