**Leader of Power Electronics Engineering Team for Auxiliary Converter (M/F/d)**:

In this role you will be responsible for the power electronics team, in ABB Traction.

**Your responsibilities**:

- Be the leader and entrepreneur of a power electronics team
- Teach, coach and mentor your team to enable for taking responsibility in the project portfolio
- Support initiatives for integrity and safety (physical and mental), diversity and inclusion
- Support the existing Lean Engineering initiative plus identify and drive continuous improvements with your team and the department
- Lead and/or be part of selected R&D and Engineering projects
- Support the Product Management and Sales department with technical solutions for customer projects
- Collaborate with other power electronic teams and community members in Engineering and R&D to drive processes and technologies in the same direction
- Offer an “easy to work with” organization towards partners and customers (internal and external)

**Your background**:

- Endurance and assertiveness to grow and enable a team
- Communications skills to solve complex challenges (organizational and technical)
- Experience in innovative power electronics technology, ideally based on SiC and designed for harsh environments
- Fluent English and German communication skills to motivate your team and satisfy our customers.
- Master degree in Electrical Engineering, preferably with focus on power electronics
- PhD in power electronics domain is a plus.
- Minimum two years’ experience in leading an engineering team. Experience as a technical project manager or lead engineer can be credited.
- Knowledge of railway standards will be considered a plus
