**Fraud Risk Lead - VP (M/F/d)**

This role is focused on conducting effective independent oversight and challenge of the business. In-depth knowledge of, and experience in, fraud risk management is essential. The role will be required to provide oversight and development of an effective risk control framework, risk identification process and assess fraud strategies, detection tools and systems.
**Job responsibilities**
- Perform ongoing independent oversight and challenge of the business approach for Fraud risk management
- Build and optimise a Fraud Risk governance framework, including appropriate processes and controls
- Perform independent analysis of fraud performance and fraud events to identify trends and issues
- Conduct deep-dives into material and emerging fraud risks, providing subsequent recommendations to the business and other related functions
- Review and provide effective challenge to fraud rules and strategies
- Monitor fraud risk performance through dashboards and key indicators, providing independent oversight and challenge
- Work closely with data teams to ensure dashboards remain accurate and holistic
- Establish and manage in fraud oversight forums to review all fraud strategies, rules, and performance metrics
- Review internal and external sources to identify emerging fraud threats relevant to the business
- Oversee and provide independent assessment and challenge of the fraud risk identification and control design processes
- Conduct ongoing risk assessments of new products and changes to existing products as they develop

**Required qualifications, capabilities, and skill**
- Overall experience of 5+ years in banking, with at least 3+ years in Fraud Risk
- Relevant experience in the German market including deep knowledge of cross-industry fraud risk forums and bodies
- Having an understanding of scalable fraud risk solutions and related operational processes
- Highly effective in analyzing risks and trends and communicating output to a range of stakeholders
- Experience in conducting independent risk assessments
- Strong track record of ownership and accountability

- Presenting findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders
- Proactive approach to identifying issues and providing recommended solutions
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Advanced MS Office suite skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Project)
- Experience of working in an Agile framework
- Confidently delivers on data analytics
