THE ROLE

We are looking for a Payroll Specialist (f/m/d) who manages our Payroll function including all related administration, communication and reporting.

You will be responsible for the accurate and timely preparation of our Payroll under consideration of the tax and social security regulations. You manage the associated administration in our HRIS (Personio) and you are the main contact for all salary and social security related questions of our team. Additionally you will generate insights into People Data through standard and ad hoc reporting.

THE PEOPLE OPERATIONS TEAM

WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Take full ownership of the preparation of monthly payroll for approx. 250 employees, taking into account tax and social security regulations primarily in Germany
- Close cooperation with our payroll providers, People Partners and the Finance team
- Processing of upstream and downstream processes including registrations and certifications / confirmations
- All entry and exit formalities
- Support and advice for all employees on questions relating to salary, payroll processes and services, as well as issues relating to tax or social security law
- Creation and maintenance of personnel master data in our HRIS (Personio)
- Standard reports and statistics, and their evaluations
- Communication with health insurance companies, (employment) offices and public authorities
- Assist local payroll providers in Switzerland and US to gather data required to process payroll
- Own projects for process and tool optimization in your area
- Support in the creation of financial statements and other People team projects

WHAT YOU'LL BRING
- Completed job-relevant training or studies and more than two years of professional experience in the Payroll
- Solid knowledge of German income tax and social security law
- Reliable, diligent and structured way of working
- Self-driven personality that can work independently while establishing close collaboration with our Finance and People Operations Teams
- High level of service orientation
- Experienced in handling the Google Suite and MS Office
- Fluent German is essential, very good English required
- Desirable additions would be experience with Personio, company pensions schemes, process
- and tool implementation and experience in Switzerland
