Tasks

Reporting to our Head of Finance & Legal, you’ll be responsible for managing our Finance team which currently consists of one junior accountant and an external accountant.

You’ll be the bridge between our Finance Team, the Head of Finance and the CFO, accountable for accurate reporting of Zizoo’s financial results.

Reviewing all formal finance-related policies and proceduresss, you’ll be in a small, fast-paced team of experienced accountants, and will need to blend a strong attention-to-detail mentality and a knack for collaboration whilst embracing new tooling to help take our Finance function to the next level, setting up and ensuring our Finance capability keeps pace with our ambitious growth plans.

**Key responsibilities include**:

- Managing the statutory financial reporting of Zizoo
- Managing the payroll for DE
- Managing and overseeing the taxation affairs of the organisation and liaising with the external tax firm for specialist advice
- Managing and overseeing the cash flow of the company together with the Head of Finance and CFO and ensuring it has the appropriate treasury controls
- Managing the External Auditor relationship and ensuring the organisation is compliant with accounting standards
- Managing and overseeing the Zizoo’s banking and borrowing arrangements
- Managing and overseeing Zizoo’s financial systems, introducing new systems and processes where relevant and appropriate
- Presenting results to non-finance people to understand
- Recruitment, training, mentoring and development of staff
- Overseeing Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Tax, Treasury, Payroll, Financial and Management Accounting functions.
- Managing accounting information including billing, collections, and tax information
- Reviewing all formal finance related policies and procedures
- Managing one internal FTE

**Requirements**:

- 5+ years' experience in finance positions with a proven record of success
- Sound decision making skills based on accurate and timely analyses
- Profound knowledge and understanding of HGB
- Results oriented and metrics driven
- Exceptional time management and able to solve problems
- Ability to lead by example and demonstrate a strong sense of integrity, ethics and dependability
- Professional written and oral communication skills in English and German
- Confident to present results to an audience
- Ability to work under pressure
- Ability to collaborate with upper management
- Advanced computer software skills, including Excel and financial reporting software
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
