Research Scientist Protein Crystallography with

YOUR MISSION
- Taking responsibility for structural biology research projects including project management
- Processing diffraction data, including phasing (mainly MR), collecting X-ray diffraction data (synchrotron beamlines), interpretation and report generation of data as well as refining protein structures following our quality criteria in accordance with our internal regulations and the requirements of our customers
- Planning, development, implementation and optimization of crystallization experiments
- Responsible for the planning and instruction for a group of technical assistants
- Representation of scientific results as well as convincing and confident communication of the content to colleagues, customers and business partners
YOUR PROFILE
- Degree in Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Biology or Chemistry or a related field and a Ph.D. in X-ray protein crystallography with an excellent track record
- Several PDB-depositions and related publications
- Work experience in the life science industry and project management is an asset
- Good LINUX systems knowledge
- Good acquaintance with current software packages employed in protein crystallography (esp. XDS, CCP4, coot, GlobalPhasing)
- Scripting experience is an asset (Shell, Perl, Python)
- Independent, service-oriented way of working, paired with great team spirit and organizational skills
