Take this amazing opportunity to join our German Ocean Pricing & Procurement Team, as Pricing Specialist (f/m/d) and prepare competitive, high-quality proposals in response to freight forwarding RFQ’s and Tender received from Global Key Accounts in close cooperation with global and regional Tender Management, Bid Owner, and Product Heads as well as other support functions (mainly local Procurement and Sales).
Preferred location for this role is Bremen, Germany. Other alternative location for this role could be Hamburg, Germany.
**How you will contribute**
- Handling of RFQ’s and Tender received for any ocean freight business from/to Germany in terms of pricing and transport solution design
- Coordination of the entire bid preparation process from RFQ received to bid decision incl. post opportunity review with relevant stakeholders
- Ensuring that the rate proposal meets the formal and substantive requirements of the invitation to the RFQ/Tender and is received by the bidding body on time
- Review of prerequisites, chances of success and cost-effectiveness of the bid preparation
- Align with operations and other stakeholders on specific RFQ’s
- Prepare a data base of information for discussion with Head of Ocean Freight Germany
- Lead communication with other stakeholders and conducting review meetings until the offer is finalized
- Documentation of all received RFQ’s and Tender, as well as any feedback and the final outcome
- Collect information about demands and market changes out of the RFQ and Tender material
- Provide input for the CRM and make sure that information will be shared in a timely manner
- Take over the role as opportunity owner in case local sales is not involved
- Development of common standards for the bidding process related to RFQ´s and Tender and its continuous improvement
**What you will bring**
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration with focus on transportation, logistics or supply chain management. Alternatively completed training as a forwarding agent with relevant freight forwarding experience (minimum 3 years)
- First experience in commercial activities and/or project management related to pricing/tender activities
- You speak and write fluent German and English
- Fundamental understanding of the German Ocean Freight market
- You have strong communication and organizational skills
- Results oriented mindset
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel
