You will have the chance to contribute to a key growth area for the future of NXP semiconductors and to build on the evolution towards software-defined and self-driving cars. NXP’s Automotive business unit offers sensor and processing technology that drives all aspects of the secure connected cars of today and the autonomous cars of tomorrow. Product Line In-Vehicle Networking is enabling this by bringing high-speed Ethernet-based data communication into the cars. For our Automotive Ethernet Solutions group, we are now looking for a Technical Director to run our Automotive Ethernet Systems Architecture activities.

**Your responsibilities**
- Lead and continuously grow a team of highly skilled Systems Engineers & Architects
- Together with our partners in the market, lead the architecture definition of Ethernet-based car networks
- Analyze trends in car E/E architectures and derive system-level and product requirements for Ethernet-based in-vehicle communication networks
- Lead innovation and product definition for Automotive Ethernet devices and solutions
- Interact with OEM and TIER1 customers worldwide to understand their future needs and translate them into product requirements
- Cooperate with system architects from other NXP product lines to define new and innovative solutions
- Ensure with the IC architects and overall R&D team the proper implementation of product requirements
- Participate in and influence standardization activities
- Work with marketing to contribute and influence the definition of successful product roadmaps
**Your profile**
- Track record of architecting and defining innovative and successful new products and solutions
- 10+ years’ experience in Automotive semiconductor product development, ideally in the development of high-speed, Ethernet-based automotive communication systems
- Knowledge of Ethernet networking concepts such as VLAN, AVB etc. is desirable
- Experience in managing people in a highly dynamic environment
- Coaching and mentoring skills
- Known to build strong customer relationships and deliver customer-centric solutions
- Able to successfully anticipate, identify and drive innovations
- Good communication skills and experience in presenting yourself, your team and work
- Proven to consistently achieve results, even under tough circumstances
- Excellent written & verbal communication (English)
- University degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Applied Physics, or Communications
