**THE ROLE & THE TEAM**:
As an Applied Scientist in the Content Visibility team you will develop Data Science products and generate insights that help create personalized, engaging and inspiring content experiences for our 51+ million customers.

**WHAT WE'D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING)**:

- Understand customer behavior through advanced analytics and support the development of machine learning solutions that personalize the experience of the Zalando homepage
- Generate insights and suggestions from data that shape the personalized experience of the Zalando homepage
- Design and evaluate experiments, such as A/B tests and causal analyzes, to learn the short and long-term effects of design decisions and decisions made by AI systems
- Engage with some of the most exciting opportunities in the intersection of Full-page Recommendation, Customer Behavior Prediction, and Customer Lifetime Value prediction
- Collaborate closely with experienced colleagues within the team, applied science leaders, product managers and business stakeholders. Mentor junior and mid level applied scientists and contribute to our applied science community

**WE'D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF**:

- Ph.D., MSc or equivalent experience in Machine Learning or Data Science
- Ability to take ownership of data science initiatives and communicate results clearly to technical and non-technical audiences
- Strong experience in Python or R, including data science and ML libraries, such as pandas, Keras, familiar with Spark SQL
