Shin Etsu Silicones Europe B.V. is expanding its silicone business in Europe and needs strategic management reinforcement. We are looking for an experienced strategy manager to help us set the course for our future direction and generate new business opportunities for growth. Developing new, sustainable and economic strategies, making them relevant and driving them forward is exactly your thing. At the same time, you always keep an eye on the numbers. In this role, you will report directly to the Managing Director.

**Your tasks**:

- You lead the strategy department with approx. 2-4 experts
- You are managing the whole strategy process for the European region
- You initiate strategy projects and drive them forward
- You are responsible for the development of business cases and conduct market and competitive analyses
- You identify challenges and opportunities
- You act as a sparring partner for the sales teams to develop new business areas
- You monitor legislation and its impact on our products
- You prepare and monitor the financial KPIs

**Your profile**:

- University degree in chemistry or similar qualification
- Many years of professional experience in the chemical business ideally in the silicon market in Europe
- Professional experience in the fields of strategy and corporate development
- Background from financial corporate management
- Analytical and methodological skills as well as different problem solving techniques
- Teamplayer with strong communication skills, can convince others
- Experience in dealing with Japanese managed companies
- Willingness to travel in Europe
