The DTFS Global Business Development department has set itself the goal of developing financing and leasing products for the global Truck markets. On the one hand, we want to increase the footprint of DTFS and thus support the sales organization of Daimler Truck AG with our products and, on the other hand, open up new revenue pools for the Daimler Truck AG as a whole with our recurring revenue streams.

The position „DTFS Global Business Development - Finance and Controlling“ will be responsible for all kinds of financial business aspects regarding the DTFS Business Development activities. This includes the calculation and alignment of business cases, the analysis of market activities as well as the setup and update of a regular reporting and evaluation of our new partnerships (e.g. joint ventures, cooperations, local captives, etc.). For providing great customer solutions in reporting and planning a skillset in digitalization and digital technologies is advantageous. In a small team together with the global business development team, you will challenge existing solutions and find ways to change existing products or bring new offers to our customers in the world.

We search for people with the ambition to generate more value for DTFS and the Daimler Truck AG. Creative minds that think outside the box and see opportunities, which might sound odd at the beginning, are the people we are looking for. At the same time, however, we need a strong business focus and a clear path towards a profitable and sustainable business model.

Ideally, you have either a background in financial services and/or Finance & Controlling with a good knowledge in the truck business and the challenges ahead. In any case, we trust that we can grow and prosper together. We learn from each other and we succeed as a team

MAIN TASKS
- Be the Finance & Controlling expert when it comes to the financial assessment of Business Development activities
- Be part of the Global Business Development team, accompany and challenge the development of projects and new products from the idea phase to final product with a critical financial view
- Market research and analysis for local conditions and prerequisites
- Challenge running projects with a financial analytics view, such as credit risk, FC operations, accounting, product, business case assumptions
- Use your Financial Services knowledge to find new and innovative digital solutions for planning and reporting and challenge existing tools and processes
- Get in contact with the respective internal stakeholders, such as FC counterparts, legal, treasury, tax, etc.
- Get in contact with local dealers, distributors, customers and banks to find the best individual solution
- Preparation of senior and top management briefings as well as external stakeholders like banks, chambers or industrial partners

Qualifikationen

PROFESSIONAL SKILLS
- University or equivalent (master) degree in economics or business administration, preferably with a focus in finance and controlling/accounting
- Financial Services knowledge (e.g. business model, products, etc.) favorable
- Knowledge in accounting, credit risk management and/or legal preferred
- Financial Services IT tools (e.g. TM1) and digitalization knowledge preferred
- Solid MS Offices skills required
- Very good English and German skills; other languages highly welcome
