**Position Overview**
GINGR is seeking a **Scientific Coordinator** to align the work of its technical
working groups and lead the development of a framework that quantifies
contributions to **Nature
- and People-Positive** renewable energy infrastructure.

**Key Responsibilities**
The Scientific Coordinator will contribute to GINGR’s work by covering the
following tasks, among others:

- **Framework Development**: Lead the development of a scientifically

sound and operational framework for energy actors to report progress
towards biodiversity gains and co-created community benefits while
deploying wind, solar, and electricity grids.
- **Scientific Writing**:Support the creation of scientific literature for GINGR

and collect and synthesise relevant scientific papers and research
outputs that align with GINGR’s mission, ensuring that findings
contribute to the initiative’s long-term objectives.
- **Technical Coordination**: Align the activities of GINGR’s Technical

Working Groups, ensuring consistency and integration across different
thematic areas and coordinate GINGR’s output towards Nature

People-Positive goals.
- **Stakeholder Engagement**: Facilitate collaboration with scientists,

policymakers, industry leaders, and civil society representatives to

ensure broad acceptance and applicability of the framework and
establish ways to pilot the assessment tools in the medium term.
- **Research & Metrics**: Support the Technical Working Groups in

methodologies to assess the environmental and social impacts of
renewable energy projects.
- **Collaboration & Teamwork**: Work closely with RGI colleagues and

GINGR partners (i.e., IUCN) to ensure a cohesive approach and
impactful outcomes.
- **Communication & Outreach**: Contribute to publications, reports,

webinars and presentations to share insights and engage with global
audiences.

**Educational Background & Experience**
- A Master’s degree in environmental science, sustainability, energy

systems, or a related field with at least 5 years of relevant experience;
OR a Ph.D. with at least 3 years of experience in a related domain.
- Proven ability to write, compile, analyze, and synthesize scientific

literature that has gone through peer-reviewed processes to inform
research and policy directions.
- Experience in coordinating multi-stakeholder projects or working groups.

- Understanding of the intersection between renewable energy,

biodiversity, and social equity.
