Senior Data Scientist

**WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR**:
As a Senior Data Scientist, you will be part of a team who are designing and implementing a flexible and scalable graph-based privacy-first platform.

You will research and create innovative methods for stitching together a huge range of signals to create an industry-leading identity and entity resolution platform.

You will be working under a Director of Data Science to create and implement the full range of platform components - from ETL design and graph models to cryptography and optimisation. You will have the opportunity both to work on existing systems and to contribute to the evaluation and development of new tech stacks.

**WHAT YOU’LL DO**
- Research state-of-the-art cryptographic and optimisation algorithms as well as (graph-based) AI methods
- Perform exploratory data analysis, hypothesis testing, data preparation and product prototyping based on modern statistical and ML/AI methods
- Participate in Test and Learn initiatives to evaluate new technologies and frameworks
- Actively explore the latest relevant methodologies and techniques
- Identify opportunities for innovation across the company
- Collaborate with the wider business in the development and improvement of Choreograph products and offerings
- Communicate and present findings, results and outcomes to key stakeholders

**WHAT YOU’LL NEED**:

- Masters or PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Economics, or a related field.
- Proven experience in analysis and manipulation of large volumes of data
- Working experience with machine learning frameworks (such as Tensorflow, etc.) and platforms (such as Kubeflow, etc.)
- Strong Python coding experience
- Experience in SQL skills (e.g. Vertica, Snowflake)
- Knowledge/hands-on experience of Natural Language Processing or Neural Networks (with a preference for Graph Deep Learning)
- Familiarity with big data tools/technology (e.g. NoSQL, Spark, Hadoop, ElasticSearch)
- A passion for empirical research and for answering hard questions with data
- A flexible analytic approach that allows for results at varying levels of precision
- Data-driven mindset and pragmatic approach to problem-solving
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interpret technical terms in layperson’s terms
- Desired, but not essential: Good understanding of at least one of the following fields: optimization, pseudonymisation/cryptography or graph-based technologies
