Senior Data Scientist

**Introduction**:
At quantilope, our Data Scientists are part of a cross-functional team and continuously develop our Insights Automation Platform together with Product Managers, Product Designers and Software Engineers. Specifically, the Data Science team is working on generating advanced consumer insights usable by non-technical users and on creating innovative and automated user experiences, both by using the latest Machine Learning and AI technologies.
We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist who can deliver results to high standards, advocate for best Data Science practices and improve our method of working and delivery. Specifically, we're looking for someone who wants to take a senior role in a team with exciting and innovative projects and who is leading the delivery of data science based software features and ensures they are completed on time, within budget and to a high quality.

**What you will be doing**:

- You’ll be end-to-end developing, training and integrating Machine learning models (supervised, unsupervised, especially NLP) for production-ready deployment in our platform
- You collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, translate them into technical specifications and collaborate with other teams to deploy Data Science related features into our platform
- You coordinate the technical delivery of Data Science related software features and ensure they are completed on time and to a high quality and standard
- Together with our Engineering and DevOps team you will be improving the architecture of our machine learning infrastructure
- You are mentoring and guiding other team members and contribute to the growth of the Data Science team
- You stay up-to-date with the latest technical advancements in the area of AI and Machine Learning, incorporate them into your work and share them with colleagues

**Who you are**:

- You have an advanced university degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field
- You have substantial years of professional experience in Data Science and you possess deep and broad knowledge about building advanced and understandable Machine Learning models
- You have a several years of experience in the software industry and a track record of delivering high-quality and scalable Machine Learning services via APIs to production
- You have strong programming skills in Python and proficiency with popular packages and Deep Learning Frameworks (ideally PyTorch) as well as proven expertise with state-of-the-art NLP models and libraries
- You have experience in leading data science projects and in technically mentoring and guiding teams towards outcomes
- You have excellent communication skills, also to non-technical audiences,and the ability to empathize with users and to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- You are fluent in English

**Above and beyond**:

- Nice to have: Familiarity with cloud-based infrastructure for software deployment (Kubernetes, Helm)
- Nice to have: Experience in the area of marketing or consumer insights
- Nice to have: Experience with ML Ops principles and tools
