**Your tasks**:
In this role, you will extend and lead a team of Software Developers and Data Engineers to build the EEX Group data lake and reporting systems. Your work will directly influence the European energy market - a growing and highly regulated market that is in search of further innovation. A pragmatic approach to Software Development and Data Science, as well as resilience and operability is of extreme importance to us. We're looking for a professional engineer and leader that takes an innovative and passionate approach to technology to solve problems. You will lead a team with cross-divisional responsibility for Software Development to provide operational Data Provisioning, Data Self Services, Big Data and Data Science within a regulated environment. Further you are responsible to design and develop the next generation of Data infrastructure, using cloud-based services. The redesign and evolvement of our current data-landscape are part of your tasks as well as optimizing and streamlining the current systems and mentoring and developing your team of Software Developers and Data Engineers.

**Your skills**:

- Proven experience in creating Data-solutions on GCP or Azure
- Outstanding hands-on-experience with mainstream data technologies and programming languages (e.g. Java, Python)
- Expertise in leading teams working with data related technology
- Know-how and hands-on experience with Databricks, BigQuery, Containerization (e.g. Kubernetes), Oracle, BigData, Messaging Technologies, ETL/ELT
- Proficiency with cloud related technologies, e.g Kubernetes, Terraform
- Mindset of an influencer who wants to shape the future of operational models within IT
- Eminent communication skills on the management level
- Excellent language skills in English **and**German
