Senior Tax Specialist, Europe

We are currently looking for a Senior Tax Specialist - Compliance to join our Europe Regional Tax team in Berlin/ Vienna / Stockholm/Budapest. This is a one-of-a-kind opportunity to work in a leading multinational tech company that is shaping the future of work.

As a Regional Senior Tax Specialist in Europe, you will build and maintain a strong bridge between business and local
- & central teams to drive the development of exciting products and features that enhance the user experience.

**Your Mission**:

- Provide independent, comprehensive, and business-oriented tax support in all areas of taxes. This includes in particular
- Partnering with local teams and external tax advisors to ensure tax compliance on a local level (filing of tax returns, interim filings, monitoring deadlines, etc.)
- Support with tax accounting and reporting
- Review and optimization of regional effective group tax rate
- First review of local tax risk assessment
- Provide advice on indirect tax, import VAT and other tax matters related to international trade.
- Provide tax support to HR in connection with international assignments
- Implementation of tax processes and respective updates
- Support regarding the implementation of Tax Compliance & Risk Management System
- Develop, and work alongside other teams to develop, and implement Delivery Hero standards in contract templates, standard clauses and other consistent tax technical terms and provisions.
- Interface with our regional and local legal teams, as well as project managers, business teams, management, and external counsel regarding all legal and regulatory issues related to our commercial operations.
- Independently manage internal and external stakeholders to push project completion.
- Manage large projects end to end, including prioritizing & process optimization to improve efficiency.
- Provide support and guidance to more junior members of the team.

**Your Heroic Skills**:

- You completed your tax or financial studies
- Ideally you are a qualified tax advisor in one of Europe Region countries or on your way to either of them.
- You have 2-3 years of experience in international tax, especially within the EU, and have acquired and developed a basic understanding and interest in this area.
- You are a strategic thinker and possess exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills and solve complex tasks in a legally accurate yet pragmatic and timely manner.
- You possess strong communication skills combined with the right level of negotiation skills and assertiveness.
- You are characterized by excellent self-organization, independence, a high level of commitment and a healthy approach to change and challenges.
- You have a strong business focus.
- In-house working experience in a multinational company or working experience in a Big 4 or other internationally recognised advisory firm.
- Interdisciplinary ability to understand diverse topics of a global corporate environment.
- You are fully proficient in English, other languages are a plus.
