**About the opportunity**:
We are looking for a **(Senior) Legal Counsel** who will help us shape the legal team at Kadmos.

**What you'll be doing**:

- Help to drive legal team activities. Support our General Counsel in helping the founding team to consistently iterate upon strategic decisions by providing personal legal opinions and taking care of manifold legal aspects of our business.
- Take care of legal documentation. Prepare, revise and review legal templates and sample documents, develop sound data protection and anti-money laundering policies. Draft contracts and engage in negotiations with key financial service providers and other partners together with our General Counsel.
- Assume certain tasks and responsibilites. Foster your counseling abilities by being the first point of contact for all external and internal stakeholders with respect to data protection topics.
- Help develop further our regulation & licensing topics. Help our General Counsel to initiate necessary research and to prepare the process of getting us relevant payment licenses.
- Support the product expansion. Participate in company-wide projects from the legal side (e.g. crediting, crypto, etc.).
- Own legal training sessions: Help to build strategic cooperation with all stakeholders and specialists in various departments, in order to design and implement necessary training sessions.

**Your profile**:

- Min. 2 years of professional experience in areas of data protection, IT law, ideally as well as in financial services regulation or M&A law, either in a major law firm or in the legal department of a major financial services provider or start-up.
- Successful completion of the first and second German state examinations in law with above-average results (16 points or more in the aggregate).
- Demonstrated ability managing legal work in a multijurisdictional environment and coordinating with external stakeholders.
- Ambitious character with a strong interest in the global fintech scene as well as legal questions in the context of software development. Prior experience in the financial services sector is not mandatory, but is highly appreciated.
- Fluency in English and German.
