The Pipeline Development European Director is responsible for the European strategic brand development, brand communication strategy and Life Cycle Management (LCM) for Daiichi Sankyo’s Speciality Business Unit and future development programs. The job holder’s responsibility is to ensure the creation of value for brands for the European markets in close collaboration with the European Commercial, Medical and Value & Market Access functions.

**Roles & Responsibilities**:

- Pro-actively identify potential commercial/access opportunities or issues in order to maximize the value of the Specialty Business Unit portfolio for Europe
- Provide commercial input into Life Cycle Management strategy, steering value creation for Specialty Medicine Pipeline assets from early development stage
- Actively contribute to defining Brand Strategy, representing European markets and customer needs
- Build strong relationships and ensure collaboration with Business Development, Marketing, Medical Affairs and Value & Market Access
- Drive Brand Planning together with commercial operations, delivering strategic guidance for the Pipeline assets to be implemented at country level
- Asset valuations (including PMA, disease landscape assessment, Competitive Intelligence, forecasting)
- Multi-team project management
- Project management on asset screening and asset due diligence for in-licensing
- Design a CI plan from New Product Commercialization to Strategic Marketing

**Education & Professional Experience**:

- Degree in Life Sciences (e.g. Pharmacy, Medicine, and Biology) or Business Administration is required
- PhD, MBA or other advanced degree is a plus
- At least 10 years of pharma industry experience, including 5 years with international exposure
- Strong understanding of clinical development, as well as European regulatory processes and Market Access requirements are essential
- Previous Cardiovascular & Metabolic Diseases launch experience is a plus
- Demonstrated results within a matrix organization and multi-cultural environment
- Strong skills in team working, collaborating in a cross functional way with other departments
- Excellent written and oral communication skills required
- Entrepreneurial mindset
- Fluent in English
- Ability and willingness to travel internationally
