We’re looking for a Germany Country Lead - EHS / Sustainability, either as an individual or a small team. You won’t just be joining J.S. Held - you’ll be building our presence in Germany. **Key Responsibilities**
- Establish and grow J.S. Held’s presence in Germany, setting the vision and strategy for our EHS / Sustainability services.
- Represent the firm in the German market, building trusted relationships with clients, regulators, and industry leaders.
- Identify market opportunities, develop service offerings, and lead business development efforts to build a robust client portfolio.
- Oversee and contribute to high-impact consulting engagements, ensuring quality, innovation, and client satisfaction.
- Recruit, mentor, and lead a high-performing team, creating a culture of excellence, collaboration, and entrepreneurial spirit.
- Work closely with international colleagues to align local initiatives with global strategy and share best practices across borders.

**Qualifications**
- Extensive experience in a top-tier consulting firm, with a strong track record in Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS), Sustainability, or related services.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for building and leading teams.
- Demonstrated ability to win and deliver complex consulting engagements, ideally with a portable book of business.
- In-depth understanding of the consulting environment in Germany, including client expectations, regulatory frameworks, and competitive dynamics.
- Well-connected within the German market, with an existing network of clients, partners, and industry stakeholders.
- A strategic thinker with the ability to identify market opportunities, shape service offerings, and lead long-term growth initiatives.
- A self-starter who thrives in building new practices, teams, and client relationships from the ground up.
- Fluent in English and German, with the ability to operate effectively in both local and international business contexts.
