We are seeking a Category Specialist - Mechatronics to join our team. In this key role you will ensure a robust and cost-efficient supply of externally sourced raw materials, components and trading goods. You will be accountable for discussing with R&D / Product Development to understand and challenge their needs with the goal of establishing a stable supply base for defined categories such as Mechanics, Electrics, Production Equipment and others. You will ensure quality, availability and cost efficiency, in order to enable us to meet our customer expectations to provide innovative reliable qualitative products at an affordable price. Come and join the team that is building the future of innovative charger solutions for e-mobility **Your area of responsibility** - Design and execute category/product group sourcing strategy focussing on mechanics, but responsible also for some electric and production equipment and others - Develop and manage cost-efficient and resilient supplier network for respective categories - Translate product and manufacturing requirements into sourcing strategies and implement them timely - Build and manage productive working relationships with key suppliers - Support new product development and introduction (NPI) in close co-operation with our Product Development team - Manage the Bill of Materials (BOM) and Request for Quotations (RFQ) of the new parts of the project - Continuously monitor and reduce material costs - Identify, mitigate and report external supply risks - Keep abreast of industry and market trends, and best practices - Support go-e programs regarding CSR, ESG and compliance - Negotiate sourcing contracts (i.e. price and terms and conditions) - Monitor and improve supplier performance based on defined key performance indicators - Propose innovations and improvements to optimise the TCO that also include reference to design to cost / engineer to cost practices - Coordinate the technical concerns of the engineers to the suppliers to assure the correct parameters of our raw materials - Be able to read and understand drawings and specifications especially of the mechanic parts for alternate sourcing **It would be great if you have** - 5+ years of experience in sourcing (mechanics and electronics is a plus) - Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Supply Chain - Demonstrated track record of strong, effective negotiation skills - Knowledge of supply risk management and procurement performance metrics - Ability to manage a category and work within a cross-functional international stakeholder environment - Strong communication skills (written and verbal) and ability to communicate and collaborate across cross functional teams at all levels throughout the organization - Technical affinity and understanding of production processes such as machining, injection-molding, casting, etc. - Analytical skills to identify cost drivers, savings and potential and continuous improvement - Experience in leading technical negotiations through Should Costing models - Relationship building skills and vendor negotiation skills - Organized and quality driven, with outstanding time management skills - Able to effectively navigate in a fast paced, multitasking environment - Ability to work independently and adapt quickly to change - Integrity, problem-solving & "can-do" mentality - Curiosity, assertiveness, and willingness to explore new topics, out-of-the-box thinking - Excellent spoken and written English (C2 Level) - Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) **It would be even better if you have** - Understanding of Engineer-to-cost / Design-to-cost, NPI and Product Life Cycle and working evidence - Contract management and compliance working knowledge - Excellent analytical skills with the capability to transform data into short and long-term plans - CIPS qualified or supply chain discipline education - Working knowledge of purchase-to-pay (P2P) and order-to-cash (O2C) processes - German language skills (spoken & written) are advantageous **What we offer** - Be one of the key drivers of our core technologies - Influence in our fast-growing organization - A high degree of freedom in the execution of your projects - Flexible working hours - Healthy food and snacks - Free coffee **About **go-e GmbH** As a fast-growing, successful company in the field of e-mobility, go-e GmbH is making the transition from start-up to an internationally recognized player.
