**Head of Product Owner Clinical (M/F/d)**

As Head of Product Owner Clinical (M/F/d) you report to the Head of the R&D Product Owner Hub and you will be responsible for leading and overseeing development and implementation of the Digital Transformation in your area of responsibility, namely the Clinical Development space. You will define the strategic direction of the Digital Roadmap so that it meets the evolving capabilities of R&D. You and your team will also take Business Ownership of critical systems to ensure business continuity, safety and compliance in R&D.

**YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Professionally handle the R&D capability map while maintaining a cross functional view on our IT landscape, our data and needed data science capabilities
- Reflect the R&D strategy with the according capability needs to maintain and evolve the Digital Strategy and Roadmap to enable value driven decision making for the Digital Transformation of R&D
- Develop clear view on Total Cost of Ownership for the R&D digital frame and core digital programs in the clinical area and translate business capability requirements into tangible implementation plans
- Lead the transformation by ensuring that our Product Teams can implement along the roadmap as well as ensure open and transparent communication and drive close alignment with the Functional Leadership Team while managing interfaces and interdependencies within R&D, IT and beyond
- Guarantee that risks, challenges and chances in relation to the roadmap deliverables are identified and adequately addressed to keep timelines on track or take respective (preventative) actions as needed as well as provide ongoing support (including resources) and guidance for mixed business and IT implementation teams while understanding their concerns and challenges
- Together with your team take professional business ownership for specific key products and systems; this includes business risk management, secure and compliant handling of data, system roadmap and life cycle management, assigned service levels and availability needs, change management, etc.
- React to audit and regulatory inspection feedback as well as work in collaboration with respective functions to create an efficient holistic approach to changing processes to meet regulations

**WHO YOU ARE**
- University degree (Master or diploma) in life sciences or IT combined with long-term working experience in the pharmaceutical sector, especially around the clinical development setting
- Profound understanding of Bayer Pharmaceuticals global strategy and global business objectives to ensure Digital Transformation roadmap is aligned with company strategy while being implemented
- Strong focus on driving achievement of goals and outcomes for R&D as well as excellent negotiation skills and high credibility
- Proven track record of leadership roles as well as extensive experience in managing functions/complex projects and teams across cultures and geographies
- Strong aptitude to develop your team as well as develop strategies and mobilize employees to create exceptional value
- Proven entrepreneurial mindset and courage to frequently challenge and optimize ways of working and organizing
- Highly committed, complex problem-solving personality as well as the aspiration to work to consistently high quality and quantity standards
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken
