**About Sleepiz**

At Sleepiz, we are shaping the future of healthcare to ensure that patient care is more personalized, comfortable, and supportive using real-world data collected directly from patients in their homes. Our mission is to make medical-grade monitoring contactless, continuous, and intelligent. Using advanced radar sensing and AI algorithms, we enable real-time analysis of vital signs such as respiration and heart rate, transforming healthcare delivery and empowering early diagnosis.

**Role Summary**

**Responsibilities**
- **Develop and maintain pipelines**: Design, implement, and maintain efficient data processing and model training pipelines to support continuous improvement and deployment of ML models.
- **Optimize machine learning models**: Analyse and refine existing machine learning models, employing techniques like pruning, quantization, and knowledge distillation to enhance efficiency while maintaining accuracy.
- **Collaborate across teams**: Work closely with software engineers, data scientists, and healthcare experts to ensure seamless integration of optimized algorithms into the Sleepiz platform.
- **Contribute to scalability and reliability**: Implement and test solutions that enhance the scalability, reliability, and robustness of Sleepiz’s analytics.
- **Stay updated**: Keep up with the latest developments in machine learning optimization and high-performance computing to continually improve our solutions.
- **Monitor and evaluate deployed models**: Set up performance monitoring and feedback loops for models in production to ensure reliability, accuracy, and compliance with medical standards.

**Requirements**:

- Master’s degree in computer science or related fields.
- Strong understanding of machine learning principles and experience optimizing models for performance.
- Proficiency in the Python programming language.
- Exposure to MLOps workflows and deploying machine learning models in production environments.
- Familiarity with model optimization techniques, including pruning, quantization, and knowledge distillation.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and resolve algorithmic inefficiencies.
- Understanding of performance-critical coding principles and experience rewriting computationally intensive code.
- Knowledge of software engineering best practices, including testing, debugging, and version control using Git.

**Nice to have**
- Experience with Rust or other high-performance programming languages.
- Familiarity with healthcare or biometric data systems.
- Experience working with live data streams or similar real-time systems.
- Knowledge of system scalability and distributed computing principles.
