Director (M/F/d) Communications - Central Europe

DP World Europe is looking to recruit a dynamic Communications Director (M/F/d) for the Central Europe region, to enhance brand value, reputation and trust in Germany, Poland, Switzerland, Hungary, Slovakia, Czechia, and Austria. You will lead internal and external communications, including social and digital media, sports partnerships and events.

As a member of the Central European leadership team, you will develop and implement strategies tailored to the needs of our local business. DP World Europe is enhancing its communications capability in line with a fast-changing media landscape, evolving market dynamics and geopolitical shifts. You will have a rare opportunity to shape DP World’s reputation in that context, reporting to the Vice President of Communications in Europe, with a secondary reporting line to the Central Europe Executive Vice President

**Key Accountabilities**:

- Collaborate with all Central European countries to develop and implement One DP World solutions
- Promote DP World’s ‘end-to-end’ logistics proposition
- Work closely with Marketing, HR, IT, Operations and other functions as required
- Collaborate with the Head office, Regional Office and the three other DP World Europe subregions - North, West and East
- Partner with all functional leads in the DP World Europe communications team
- Develop and implement internal Communications that deepen employee engagement
- Develop and implement external communications that promote DP World Europe’s agenda and protect its reputation
- Maintain a focus on customers and adapt communications to priority sectors by country
- Develop the Central Europe leadership team into SMEs in their respective fields
- Foster thought leadership on the future of trade, innovation, sustainability, diversity, and inclusion

**Strategic Leadership and Planning**
- Develop a Central Europe communications strategy aligned with DP World's global and regional aims
- Implement a unified 'One DP World' brand and reputation plan across all countries
- Lead all Communication centres of excellence within Central Europe

**Internal and External Communications**
- Upgrade the reach and quality of Internal Communications to build a greater sense of ‘One DP World’
- Ensure brand compliance through the line
- Improve Business Communications and align closely with the initiatives of the emerging Global Marketing organisation

**Execution and Measurement**
- Blend global and regional campaigns with locally relevant insight and initiatives
- Manage external agencies, suppliers, and contractors to ensure value for money
- Build and maintain an actionable dashboard to measure performance, refine planning, and track ROI

**Issues and Crisis Management**
- Lead on Central Europe crisis communications
- Collaborate with HSSEQ on risk register consolidation
- Manage regulatory changes as they arise

**Key Skills**:

- 10+ years in communications, preferably in a leadership role
- Strong knowledge of the regional media landscape; industry experience within logistics preferred, especially in automotive and chemicals.
- Proven record of collaboration in a matrix organisation
- Exceptional oral and written skills
- Track record in communications, marketing, internal and media relations, partnerships and events
- Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
- Hands-on approach; adaptable and results-driven self-starterFluency in English, plus at least one other European language - German strongly preferred
