**Your function**

In our expanding business regarding integrating renewables in a decarbonized world and market developments, EGI supports the feasibility and profitability of projects related to integrating renewables and market developments. EGI also supports international investors and developers navigate the complex regulatory and market environments they operate in.

EGI seeks an experienced professional to be one of our strategic advisors on regulation, contract management, and market design. As a senior expert on energy regulation and market design, you will provide top-rank consultancy in constant interaction with our worldwide energy clients, partners, and relevant departments within the Elia Group organization. You will support our clients in defining and implementing energy policies and regulatory framework reforms linked to the latest trends in the energy domains and decarbonization. You will guide the national and regional authorities in set-up trading environments and propose market structures and designs in Europe and worldwide. You will provide valuable support to energy investors and developers in their business analysis related to interconnection projects and agreements, new energetics, and sector coupling.

**Responsibilities**
- Advising clients on strategic issues related to existing and future legal, policy and regulatory frameworks, market design and contractual management, allowing them to go through deep market restructuration or to assess their business models in terms of values, strategy or operations
- Supporting investors and developers in navigating the complex regulatory and market environments in which they operate, and in their business analysis related to infrastructural investments, interconnection projects, energy developments, and contractual arrangements
- Performing market intelligence analysis for new energetics, such as green hydrogen, flexibility, smart grids, batteries, or other technologies
- Contributing to projects on establishing trading platforms and market operator, and implementing competitive national or regional trading of power, capacities, and ancillary services
- Anticipating the changes in the power market landscape and defining the most suitable markets configurations or smart grid strategies by leading successful projects that provide value to customers and benefits to society
- You support the company’s business development team in identifying and pursuing opportunities. You establish trusted relationships with clients, understand clients’ agenda, translate it into issues and possible scenarios, and determine the best project approaches and proposals.
- Design and implementation of projects, including complicated business-related contractual negotiations. You lead projects’ delivery related to energy policies, regulatory framework reforms, technical regulations, and market design/operations from regulatory, markets, or business points of view.

**Your profile**
- Master’s degree and a minimum of 8-10 years experience in the power sector
- Deep understanding of the power sector, including power exchange, transmission, distribution, retail and generation
- Experience in setting up pricing schemes and RES support schemes is an asset
- Understand a large variety of market design configurations and how they interact: experience in the power trading business, including spot market, wholesale markets, trading of ancillary services, etc., is an asset
- Experience in business models for energy projects, SPV structures, or risk analysis is an asset
- Proven record of high performance and substantial professional achievements in your past positions
- Ability to manage complex projects, processes, constantly linking strategic objectives and detailed technical aspects
- Capability to engage and establish credibility with senior stakeholders and with various types of teams
- Your key soft skills are curiosity, creativity, proactivity, client-oriented, result-driven, autonomous
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to manage complex processes and link strategic objectives and detailed technical aspects
