Senior Director, Security Engineering

About the opportunity

We are looking for a **Senior Director of Security Engineering (all genders)** to join the Security Engineering team on our journey to always deliver amazing experiences.

As the Senior Director of Security Engineering, your role will involve supporting the global Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) in executing a multi-year transformative security strategy across the entire organization. The mission of your team is to enhance security standards across all engineering disciplines and utilize engineering as a multiplier force to scale security.

Your responsibilities include developing, advocating, and implementing the Delivery Hero security strategy, focusing on empowering stakeholders through automation, self-service, and infrastructure infrastructure as code. You will collaborate with stakeholders to establish trusting and mutually accountable partnerships, emphasizing transparency and data-driven decisions. Your leadership will inspire your teams and stakeholders, breaking silos and promoting collaboration.

As a thought leader for the security teams under your purview, you will ensure that their respective roadmaps align with the overarching security mission. You will be tasked with attracting, retaining, and coaching talent to build high-performing teams capable of achieving our objectives.

This role presents a unique opportunity for transformation, requiring a combination of passion, vision, long-term strategic planning, and decisiveness in navigating ambiguities. You will work closely with the security Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) team, advocating for the integration of risk and security control management practices into engineering processes.

**Your mission**:

- Establish and promote a long-term security engineering strategy that is embedded within, and enables, the broader Tech team
- Build, develop and coach security engineering teams across the Delivery Hero group
- Closely collaborate with the GRC teams, integrate risk and security control management within engineering principles
- Actas a security engineering thought leader, author security engineering policies and standards
- Be a strong and influential stakeholder manager

What you need to be successful

**Your heroic skills**:

- Inspirational leadership of large security engineering teams.
- Deep understanding and experience of security engineering principles
- Experience in broad range of security disciplines including product, infrastructure security, IAM, SOC
- Extensive experience in delivering industry standards and meeting security related regulation in engineering fast moving organizations
- Passionate and relentless about building a new security program.

**Nice to have**:

- _ Experience with PCI_
- _ Software engineering background_
- _ Experience presenting up to board and executive management levels_
