**Company Description** About Mirantis**

We’re seeking a seasoned **Engineering Director** to lead our **AI Infrastructure** Engineering function. You will be responsible for shaping and delivering the technical vision for scalable, high-impact infrastructure that enables AI-first platforms. open-source, composable AI infrastructure solutions This role requires strong engineering leadership, deep SDLC expertise, and a track record of successful delivery in complex technical environments.

We would ideally like this person to be based in **Europe**and to have hands-on experience in software development and integration.

**Responsibilities**
- Lead large-scale, technically complex development programs from conception through delivery.
- Define, implement, and evolve our **Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)**processes to ensure high-quality, efficient, and scalable software delivery.
- Champion a **product-centric engineering culture, e**nsuring trade-offs and priorities are tied to business outcomes.
- Own and refine the **software release lifecycle, i**ncluding planning, risk management, and coordination across stakeholders.
- Provide mentorship and strategic direction to engineering managers and senior engineers across globally distributed teams.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Management, Architecture, QA, DevOps, and Operations to ensure alignment and delivery excellence.
- Influence technical strategy and investment decisions aligned with business priorities, especially in AI and infrastructure domains.

**Qualifications**
- 8+ years of experience in engineering leadership roles, ideally within infrastructure, cloud-native, or AI-related domains.
- Proven track record in leading complex development and integration programs.
- Deep understanding of modern **software development practices,**CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, and container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes).
- Strong knowledge of **SDLC**processes and software release lifecycle planning.
- Experience collaborating with architecture, product, and engineering teams to define technical direction and deliver end-to-end solutions.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Prior hands-on experience in **software development and integration**is a must.
