We have an exciting opportunity for a **Field Application Scientist**, ideally to be based in Northern Europe (ideally northern Germany but we would also consider Benelux & Scandinavia regions).

You will be part of the global FAS team which serves as the key interface between the sales team, marketing and customers. Providing expert-level support for our liquid handling suite of products.

**About the role**:
The role will require significant travel throughout Europe, with occasional travel outside Europe to the US or East USA and our UK headquarters. As such, this position must be based near a convenient travel hub in the territory. Being that we are a global company, you will be working with colleagues from across multiple time zones and territories, requiring some flexibility in meeting schedules. As our FAS team work remotely, you will have flexibility in your scheduled appointments with customers and colleagues, allowing you to balance your work and personal responsibilities.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Manage and run product demonstrations
- Conduct pre-sales technical presentations and seminars
- Maintain an expert-level knowledge of our product lines
- Install instruments and train new users
- Nurture strategic collaborations to regularly deliver scientific content for marketing
- Collate customer feedback (product development, software, etc)
- Contribute to conference strategy
- Maintain positive customer relationships and high levels of satisfaction

**About you**:

- PhD in a Genomics-related field (preferred but substantial relevant experience also considered)
- At least 2 years’ experience working in Genomics (preferred), HTS, Assay Development, molecular biology, or structural biology laboratories with a particular focus on liquid handling and reaction miniaturization
- Ability and willingness to travel extensively (50-75%)
- Amiable, level-headed personality
- Experience troubleshooting workflows and lab equipment
