**Position Summary**:
Milliken’s Coating Additives business is seeking a Global Market Development Leader to evaluate and prioritize additives growth opportunities in our core coatings, adhesives, sealants and elastomers (CASE) segment. Growth opportunities include share gain opportunities for existing products, as well as concepts for differentiated new product developments. This important role on the global business unit leadership team will help drive profitable growth in alignment with overall business strategy.
**Key Responsibilities**:
Conduct extensive technical market research using primary and secondary research, customer interviews, co-supplier engagement, sales and product management team engagement, CRM data-mining, and other measures to identify, size and develop compelling business cases for growth opportunities.
Prioritize projects for Application Development, Co-supplier, and New Product Development.
Liaise with co-suppliers (e.g. resin suppliers) to identify market trends and prioritize technical engagement for starting point formulation development.
Develop deep understanding of Milliken products and internal capabilities to support decision-making and strategy development.
Work closely with sales, product management, and technical to develop and execute growth strategies.
Provide administrative leadership and development for global market development team.
Global role based remotely or in Langenfeld, Germany or Westlake, Ohio, USA.
Frequent global travel up to 50%.

**Qualifications**:
Experienced leader with track record of developing and implementing new product growth programs in business-to-business environment.
Chemistry, Material Science, Chemical Engineer or related technical degree required
Must be fluent in English
Prefer at least 10 years of professional work experience in paint and coatings industry with expertise in marketing, business development, and sales.
External bias, with experience interviewing customers and other experts in marketplace to uncover key insights required to develop sound, data-driven marketing strategies Deep understanding of value proposition development and competitive product positioning A high energy leader with experience working with global, cross functional teams is preferred A strong sense of ownership and a growth mentality with persistence and determination
