**Ideally based in Germany **( **North Rhine-Westphalia) **and alternatively elsewhere in Europe close to an Emerson office and an international airport, a collaborative & communicative business leader will lead the development and execution of sales strategies for the industry segment, with the goal to drive profitable growth of the SYSS business in Europe.

You will act as part of a European SYSS Leadership team whose key focus is to position Emerson in the market as the supplier of first choice for projects, consultancy, and lifecycle services, while using our industry solutions portfolio.

**IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL**:

- Ensure annual sales targets are achieved through the building and deployment of best-in-class sales leadership and business strategies
- Establish and maintain a market development and industry growth plan for the segment
- Lead European team as well as support and give direction to the in-country SYSS Sales Directors and Sales teams
- Participate in developing and drive the Software Platforms plans with the Industrial Software leadership
- Maintain a high degree of industry knowledge and awareness, including trends, technology advancement, accomplishments by others in the business, and state of the competition
- Coordinate project pursuit activities and ensure effective sales management processes, including building Solutions Selling methodology and training teams
- Report to top management, assume Budget, Orders / Sales / Profitability responsibility

**FOR THIS ROLE YOU WILL NEED**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or technical field, MBA would be considered an advantage
- Several years of relevant sales leadership, account management or general management experience
- Knowledge of the chemical industry & applicable regulations as well as T&Cs
- Process Automation / Process control knowledge
- IT affinity (SAP, Cloud Solutions, IIOT etc.)
- Proven track record to deliver results through engaging and coordinating across a multi-country and matrix organization
- Strong competencies in the continual development of both individuals and teams
- Proficient in English language, other languages would be an advantage
- Travel up to 50% (Europe)
