**Overview**:
We are currently seeking an Associate Director IP* to strengthen our IP department. You will work in Munich (Germany) in an interdisciplinary global environment with colleagues from Germany and Houston (TX). Travel to our Houston site is expected on a regular basis. Your analytical reasoning and action-oriented style as well as your organization and communication skills will contribute to the team’s success.

**Your mission**:
Your main responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following tasks:

- Worldwide development & execution of prosecution strategies in the field of cell therapy
- Negotiations with (future) outside partners
- Guidance of outside counsels
- Alignment of the IP strategy with internal functions incl. R&D, BD, Alliance Management and other cross functions
- Invalidation procedures incl. European opposition & appeal procedures
- Planning of search Strategies for FTO analysis
- Review of IP clauses in agreements

**Your profile**:
You hold a Master or PhD degree in a biological, biotech or related field, ideally with knowledge of oncology and immunotherapies. In addition, you are a fully qualified European Patent Attorney. You demonstrate qualities of diligence, approachability and confidence in interaction with research and development colleagues and others across the business and externally. You are an excellent communicator in German and English, able to convey information to professionals at all levels and across different business areas. You show commercial awareness and interest in Immatics’ proprietary technologies and future aims and possess good organizational, multi-tasking and negotiation skills, are accurate, flexible and able to work independently as well as within a lean team. Leadership experience is a plus. You have a proactive, solution-orientated working style, with excellent analytical skills. With these competences you are able to successfully contribute to protect and monetarize the IP portfolio of Immatics.
