An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talent to join Gilead as Associate Director Early Asset Strategy Oncology (M/F/d) in the German affiliate. The position will be based in Martinsried, München and report into the Business Unit Director Oncology The Associate Director Early Asset Strategy Oncology (M/F/d) is responsible for evaluating and prioritizing growth opportunities for the Gilead Oncology portfolio and develop and prepare launch prioritization for new indications/ products. Additional responsibilities will include the support of market research management for early product development and competitive intelligence. Close coordination with Medical, Market Access and Commercial colleagues will be critical for success in this role. The position demands a good understanding of market, access and medical knowledge in Oncology and excellent communication skills to facilitate the interaction and partnership among external and internal stakeholders. The Early Asset Strategy Manager Oncology is also responsible for ensuring the Company's adherence to high standards of business conduct in all its dealings with the medical profession and with consumers. Responsibility - Develop market and opportunity assessments, including disease area understanding, competitive landscapes, unmet need, and product profiles for pipeline compounds - Coordinate and recommend pre-commercialization activities for these pipeline assets prior to handing them off to the cross-functional launch teams - Design, establish, and maintain process for cross-functional strategic new product planning with focus on innovation roadmap for pipeline assets - Collaborate to multidisciplinary taskforces for pipeline strategy development in selected therapeutic areas/diseases in Oncology (disease opportunity profiles, pipeline business case preparation) - Stay abreast of key competitive development initiatives and changes in market directions, adapting marketing strategies accordingly - Support identifying the necessary clinical trial end points needed to successfully commercialize products. Give input in clinical trial design; develop early business assessment - Continually review, evaluate, and enhance the current product offering. To ensure that all products offered are in-tune with customer needs and deliver an excellent experience. Co - developing cross-functional collaborative systems and processes for measuring product usage and making recommendations to enhance performance. - Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor **Education**: - Medical degree, Master of Science diploma major in in Scientific disciplines is highly preferred - PhD or Master/Specialization in scientific or economic disciplines highly preferred Experience & Knowledge - Minimum 3 years of successful Market Access or Medical experience of branded company, or minimum 3 years of successful sales/marketing experience with branded company plus a master degree of pharmacy/pharmacology/ business administration. - Good understanding of team-based drug development process - Knowledge and understanding of pharmaceutical market scenario in Oncology, Launch experience highly preferred - Scientific knowledge - Knowledge of forecasting principles - Knowledge of strategic marketing/brand planning principles - Knowledge of market analysis - Knowledge of pricing & reimbursement principles and the main health care systems in Germany - Knowledge of competitive intelligence principles and tools - Fluent German and English Core Competencies / Skills - Strategic and analytic thinking - Organizational skills - Leadership and communication skills - Result-oriented - Project-management skills - Team - and networker - Social intelligence and networking skills - Stress management Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) It is the policy of Gilead Sciences, Inc. and its subsidiaries and affiliates (collectively "Gilead" or the "Company") to recruit select and employ
