Tasks
The Global People Services (GPS) Global Travel Management is responsible for ensuring travel services in compliance with the Global and German travel policy. The team strives to deliver a cost competitive, secure, and satisfying travel experience for our employees. Our travel management specifically manages the relationship with travel industry suppliers and participates, along with purchasing, in the selection and regular review of these vendors. Other responsibilities include the travel approval and booking processes as well as managing the travel agency relationship and online booking tools.

As an mandatory intern (M/F/diverse) who can start at the earliest possible date and could stay with us for 4-6 months you would directly support the Head of Global Travel Management and the Country Travel Manager Germany and their team.

**Your topics include**:
You will support in expending the collaboration of the internal global travel management community of all participating Continental markets

Together with the team, you will control measures for process and cost optimization in the management of flight, hotel, rental car, rail and travel agency services

You will prepare presentations, evaluations and analyses for tender processes and support with the regular reporting

You will contribute to our internal communication measures by creating and publishing information and intranet news articles for our travelers and the global travel management stakeholders and also help on researching and investigating travel industry trends

In the day-to-day business, you will provide assistance to our travelers on their needs and requests and support the team in managing and developing the existing supplier portfolio

Exposure to the full travel management ecosystem, including TMCs (Travel Management Companies), OBT (online booking tool), MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences & Exhibitions). Suppliers for air, rail, ground transportation plus hotels. Duty of care, reporting, analytics, policy, plus new trends in travel & mobility

**Qualifications**:
Student (M/F/diverse) in the field of business administration, ideally with a focus on business travel management or tourism, who is looking for a mandatory internship as part of the studies

Safe handling of the MS Office-programs (especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint - PowerBi a plus)

Fluent knowledge of English and German, both written and spoken

Work autonomously in a structured and organized way with attention to detail

Efficiently manage multiple tasks and set priorities

High level of commitment, analytical thinking and creativity

Team-orientation with very good communicational skills

You like to actively share ideas
