**About the role**:
Overall responsibility for establishing a robust compliance framework in place to effectively manage regulatory risk and compliance activities in support of the Swiss Re Corporate Solution's operations in Germany.

**Core Responsibilities**:
- Developing, maintaining and enhancing a compliance framework which allows the business to comply with regulatory requirements, including policies, guidelines, training and communication- Provide Compliance oversight over Swiss Re Corporate Solution's operations in Germany, the commercial insurance arm of Swiss Re- Provide enabling guidance and technical expertise to the business with respect to compliance requirements and implementation of the compliance framework- Provide compliance support to any initiatives or development of new products or distribution channels- Design and conduct training on compliance matters- Monitor the implementation and effectiveness of compliance framework on a continuing basis and provide assurance to regarding the implementation of the compliance framework, production of required Management Information- Oversight of regulatory requests, returns and timetable- Monitor and act upon regulatory developments relating to compliance risks and the associated regulatory obligations- Perform regular compliance risk assessments- Support/provide input to regular and relevant reporting to Senior Management- Serve as point of contact for regulators, in coordination with Governmental Affairs and Legal as required. Includes actively participating during regulatory inspections and exams, reviewing and responding to inquiries, and coordinating production of data and file requests.- Build and maintain cross-regional relationships with other team members, teams, functions, and Business Unis

**About the team**:
The Corporate Solutions Compliance team is a multi-jurisdictional team based in Switzerland, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, the USA, Canada, Mexico and Brazil, providing enabling guidance and technical expertise to the Business Unit Corporate Solutions with respect to compliance requirements and implementation of the Compliance Programme.

You will be required to work closely with and provide support to other members of Corporate Solutions Compliance team as well as independently interface with key stakeholder within the Business Unit Corporate Solutions.

**About you**:
- University or equivalent qualification- Fluent in German and English is a must- Minimum 5 years experience, preferably in an insurance company, in the area of Compliance or Legal- Strong knowledge and experience regarding regulation of insurance/reinsurance business- Good knowledge of regulatory requirements related to Data Protection, International Trade Controls and Economic Sanctions, Anti-Money Laundering, Fraud, Anti-bribery and corruption, Market Conduct, Solvency II.- Solid understanding of control processes and systems- Ability to prioritise and work in a highly dynamic and changing matrix environment- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
