In the 1950s, global trade changed for good. The invention of the standardized container suddenly meant that transporting goods across the world became affordable. And with that, pathed the way for globalization and global wealth. But contrary to the container, most surrounding processes have not been standardized nor innovated—and are still frustratingly complex, manual, and error-prone.

That’s why our ambition is to use technology to simplify the logistics of global trade, making the processes around the container as simple as the container itself. We do that by providing a neutral infrastructure that connects all logistics companies to remove friction and create economic opportunity.

UX Researcher (f/m/d)

Your responsibilities in a nutshell
- As we cultivate a customer-centric culture, you help define and shape the research function at xChange as we make it a core pillar of the product/design team.
- Gather inputs, plan inclusive and strategic research, facilitate interviews, conduct research, and analyze results to make meaningful recommendations and possible suggestions for the product and/or next research steps. Influence and support the formation of product roadmaps and tactical solution designs.
- Work closely with design, product, marketing, and data colleagues to develop our research strategy, processes, and best practices. Aid the company in making strategic decisions based on user research.
- Build bridges across teams to share knowledge and gather inputs on business needs and user hypotheses for the purpose of insights development, internal alignment, and a holistic understanding of our customers.
- Join-up related research from various areas and lead with strategic research recommendations. Also, leverage the potential of combining analyses of attitudinal measurements with behavioral data.
- Synthesize findings and use compelling narratives to communicate digestible and actionable insights and recommendations to a variety of partners in ways that build trust, inform, and drive consensus around key decisions. As the authoritative representatives with first-hand user knowledge, you ensure that insights are widespread (to promote a holistic understanding of our customer journey and to engender empathy). You take a stance for our users, including business partners and internal stakeholders.
- Empower others (designers and non-designers) by providing toolkits, expert guidance, and coaching on possible research approaches and methods via training and mentor sessions.

**Requirements**:
What we are looking for
- You have 5+ years of experience in User Experience research
- Self-starter attitude with a high personal drive - you are excited about being a part of rapid growth and not afraid to get your hands dirty
- A “builder mentality” with a hands-on attitude and process-oriented mindset - you are excited to support our team at any time of their journey to ensure they deliver high-quality results
- You can empathize with our customers, understand their needs, and are eager to help and learn from them
- You are passionate about processes and improvements. In the past, you have introduced and driven various projects and topics leading to the growth of a design function
- You have experience working in close collaboration with the Design and Product teams, as well as other teams contributing to the growth of user experience
- You are a great communicator (our company language is English), storyteller, and strong listener
- Fluent in English - all other languages are no requirement
- You have an analytical mindset and like to convey information with the help of compelling stories
