What to Expect
- We are looking for an experienced HR professional who enjoys driving employee engagement and building organizational scalability in pursuit of the Tesla mission. The primary responsibility for this role is providing advice, guidance and support to all Tech/Engineering businesses across Tesla, including Vehicle Design Engineering, Autopilot, Software Engineering and others in a truly rounded partnership capacity. You will be part of the Leadership Team of Engineering and drive the people agenda for the growth and scalability of the businesses you support. Operating as an HRBP, you will ensure that all HR policies and procedures are implemented in line with legislative and audit requirements in conjunction with requirements. You will in collaboration with leadership and key stakeholders and People COE’s (Recruitment, Operations, Compensation, Benefits, Legal, Employee Relations, People Development and learning etc.) ensure we bring in great talent; we grow and development key talent, proactively support performance improvements, growth of our people succession and growth of the teams and individuals.

What You’ll Do
- Build trusted relationships with stakeholders in the business.
- Drive the local implementation of key initiatives in alignment with the broader HR / People strategy and business requirements.
- Work with leadership on building Culture and be a thought partner that is able to identify problems and provide optionality of scalable solutions.
- Coach, develop and support local supervisory/management on an ongoing basis - build local capability.
- Proactively work with management / leadership to drive organizational effectiveness and structures.
- Advise on local labor law regulations and implication and guide / coach leaders through local processes that require understanding of legislative framework.
- Provide compensation support including salary planning, promotions, and job re-leveling in collaboration with compensation COE.
- Support in organizing and facilitating workshops for local stakeholders on any relevant/ required topics (from leadership to teaming to labor law, new process implementation etc.)
- Travel when required (10%).

What You’ll Bring
- Strong generalist HR experience is essential for this role.
- Good working knowledge of local employment law and HR best practice.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken and able to develop positive working relationships across all levels and functions.
- Proven track record of positively influencing teams
- Ability to connect and engage with all teams at all levels and treat everyone as equal.
- Able and comfortable working in a developing, fluid and constantly changing company.
- Effectively handle multiple priorities, organize workload and meet deadlines.
- Fluency in both German and English is required.
