**Your mission**:
As Applied AI Researcher (M/F/x) you will support us in the following ways:

- Stay up-to-date with the latest AI/ML research by reading papers, and exploring new models. Define new research ideas and projects. Publish findings in blog posts, papers, and demos on our website.
- Design, create, and deliver high-quality training sessions for AI/ML practitioners across both industry and academia.
- Maintain and extend open-source Python packages and present them at international conferences.
- Participate in hackathons and other events to solve challenges, network, and stay engaged with the AI/ML community.

**Your profile**:
We are seeking someone who knows AI/ML and statistics from both theoretical and applied perspectives. You should be able to understand recent developments and combine them with your own ideas, while being aware of and open about what you don't know. In addition to your passion for research, you should have a passion for teaching AI/ML and communicating your results to researchers and practitioners. We welcome unusual profiles and career paths, but we find that people who can take on this role tick most of the following boxes:

- PhD in machine learning or other technical fields such as Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, and Physics or Masters Degree with at least 4 years of work experience in AI/ML.
- Curiosity to learn new things, high quality standards in everything you do, and a passion for AI/ML research and engineering topics.
- Proven ability to develop user-friendly, maintainable and robust Python software in a team. This includes but is not limited to software design and architecture, interface design, data structures, version control, unit testing, continuous integration, and a solid understanding of the Python language.

Advantageous to have:

- Experience contributing to open-source projects. We value anything from your personal ML Project to contributions in large established libraries.
- Peer-reviewed publications or pre-prints in AI/ML, Statistics, Computer Science, or related fields.
- Familiarity with a compiled language like C, C++, or Rust on top of your Python experience.
- Experience in writing on technical topics for a general audience (e.g., blog posts, magazine articles).
