**Job Title: Germany Controller**: - **Business: Finance**: - **Division : Financial Reporting**: - **Officer title: Director**: - **C-Grade: C15**: - **Location: Frankfurt**: - **Legal Entity: 02937 Citigroup Global Markets Europe AG** **Job Purpose**: - ** Controller for Germany responsible for Regional Controllers** within the Country**: - ** Primary accountability for all aspects of Controllers across the country, with specific focus on financial and regulatory reporting, as well as legal entity management**: - ** To support the UK Cluster Controller and the Germany CFO**: - ** EMEA Controllers are an independent control function ensuring completeness, accuracy and integrity of the bank’s books and records. It is part of the EMEA Finance organization.**: - ** Formal position of CBNA Germany Branch Manager**: **Job** **Background/Context**: ***: - ** Citi’s franchise in Germany is large and expanding with the EU Broker Dealer, CGME recently receiving Citi’s EU client base and their portfolio’s as the UK exited the EU.**: - **This is an exciting recently expanded role to ensure that all financial and regulatory reporting across the cluster is complete** **and accurate and supported by a strong control framework**: ***Key Responsibilities**: - ** Accountability for all local financial and regulatory reporting within the Country. Where production of reporting is centralised in the Budapest CSC, accountability is for local in-country governance. Where production of reporting remains in country, all aspects of production and governance over reporting fall within the remit of this role.**: - ** Supporting all US financial and regulatory reporting for all Germany entities.**: - ** Accountability for all Legal Entity Management for Germany.**: - ** Ensuring that the control framework which supports financial and regulatory reporting, is standardised and robust.**: - ** For all German entities - contributes to the integrity and control of the company’s financial books and records as well as the process by which these records are generated.**: - ** Contributes to the continuous strengthening of the control environment to support the business in efforts to grow responsibly.**: - ** Manages the relationship with external and internal auditors and accounting policy.**: - ** Partner and contributor to Regional Controllers initiatives **and strategic priorities.**: - ** Manages the relationship with outsource providers e.g. CSC, FRSS ensuring appropriate governance and oversight.**: - ** Partners strategically with the German CFO.**: - ** Leading and developing the German team - leveraging and encouraging diverse perspectives and individuals.**: - ** Appropriately assesses risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy.**: - ** Actively participating in and contributing to Citi’s transformation initiatives to ensure both global and local requirements are met.**: **Qualifications**: - ** 15+ years of relevant experience**: - ** Experience in people management**: - ** Previous supervisory experience**: - ** Demonstrated leadership and management skills**: - ** Ability to work across functional areas**: - ** Demonstrated project management skills**: **Education**: - ** Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience**: - ** Master’s degree preferred**: - **Job Family Group**: Finance - **Job Family**: Financial Reporting - **Time Type**: Full time - Citi is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer.
