**About The Role**

We're seeking our first dedicated, in-house **Legal Counsel **to spearhead our legal department and join us on our mission to build a borderless world. As Localyze's legal representative, you will provide expert legal advice to leadership and stakeholders, and ensure Localyze operates within the law at all times, with a focus on global mobility and labour law. You will report directly to our Chief Executive Officer, and be an integral part of the operational team.
- As our Legal Counsel, you will:_
- Provide expert, and strategic counsel to leadership and stakeholders on a variety of legal topics related to labour, relocation, partnerships, international ventures, corporate finance, antitrust, and trade practices.
- Manage relationships, and lead negotiations with external partners including regulators, external counsel, clients, and competitors, etc.
- Establish and manage our legal entities across the European and international markets.
- Liaise with our international subsidiaries by supporting with intercompany agreements, financing, and corporate administration.
- Handle litigations, ensure compliance, and limit risk exposure, while maximising legal rights.
- Draft, review, and solidify commercial/service agreements, contracts, terms & conditions, and other legal documents, in collaboration with external lawyers.
- Set internal policies, create playbooks, and outline guidelines to manage the impact of external factors, based on research of legal issues.
- Anticipate legal issues, strategically estimate risks, and identify proactive solutions that will eliminate or mitigate risks.
- Keep up to date with legislative changes across all of our legal entities, and track regulatory compliance, including data protection, product compliance, etc.

**About You**

Ideally, you have:

- Successfully graduated from an accredited law school, focussed on European law.
- 2+ years of post-qualification legal experience in an international business environment dealing with organisational compliance and labour law.
- Experience in drafting, negotiating, and analysing contracts across most of our legal entities (Germany, Netherlands, Spain, Portugal, UK, Ireland). US / Canada is a plus
- A keen eye for detail to anticipate legal issues, conduct legal analysis throughout the company procedures and entities, and assess key terms for Services Agreements (e.g. data protection, compliance/regulatory, limitation of liability terms, etc.)
- The enthusiasm to thrive in a fast paced environment, perform under pressure, and initiate a high quality of work autonomously.
- A high degree of professional ethics, and integrity.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills to confidently interact with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Fluency in English. (Additional German skills are a plus)
