As the IoT & Analytics market continues to mature and customers make more strategic investments, the IoT Executive is in a pivotal role in driving our growth in this segment. Reporting to the Regional VP IoT & Analytics, the IoT Executive is charged with developing and executing the regional go-to-market strategy, meeting sales targets and delivering sustainable, long-term growth.
Essential Functions
The IoT Executive works closely with regional sales organization to develop opportunities, shape customer vision, position Software AG’s IoT & Analytics capabilities uniquely, respond to tenders, and close deals.
Success requires effective collaboration with regional sales teams and other go-to-market units including for example professional services, channels & alliances, and customer success management.
Minimum Requirements
- 8+ years selling IoT software or related technologies to enterprise customers, or related job experience in respective industry
- University degree in Business or related disciplines preferred, but not required In-depth understanding of, and experience with, successfully executing solution sales
- Deep knowledge of IoT industry including technologies, customer requirements and business models
- Strong ability to manage the sales process end-to-end and track record of successfully closing large & complex as well as land deals in the IoT software industry
- Relationships with existing buyers, influencers, and industry ecosystem
- Ability to coach field teams on how to identify and qualify IoT opportunities
- Ability to work in a team environment (including international matrix organizations) to achieve mutual goals
- Proven skills in building personal and business relationships
- Exceptional relationship management skills and the ability to build and grow connections with people of all types and backgrounds.
