About the Role

For our fast-growing business in new markets, commodities and services, we are currently looking for a smart, analytically skilled and communicative individual to join our Data Science team in Karlsruhe.

For those interested in writing a master thesis:
The master thesis will be written at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) in collaboration with the IISM chair. It requires a prior internship of at least three months at ICIS, where you will get the opportunity to familiarize with the model, deepen your skills, and to define your master topic in more detail for a successful thesis.

Main responsibilities:
- Modelling of the European electricity market- Obtaining in-depth knowledge of the European electricity market- Supporting the data science team in analysing and developing automated data routine- Analysing input data and model results and make suggestions for improvement

Key skills:
- Interest in electricity markets, market analysis and forecasting- High level of interest in learning new modelling techniques- Analytical mindset, critical thinking, and high engagement- Good communication skills in German and English- Experience in programming in e.g. Python, MATLAB, etc.
