As the Head of the CoE Key Capabilities Team for Merck's Enabling Functions (MEFs), you will be part of the Leadership Team of the MEF Digital, Data & IT function and report directly to the CIDO Merck Enabling Functions.
The Digital, Data & IT function is acting as the single point of contact for all digital activities for all MEF. We partner as integrated strategic advisor, driving holistic digital transformation across all MGF.
In this role, you will focus on delivering sustainable value and impact to the MEF and our Businesses through establishing and running Centers of Excellence in the following areas: (i) Process management, Process mining & Automation, (ii) Cyber Security, Business Managed Applications (BMA), Quality and Risk control, (iii) Enterprise Architecture for MEF, and (iv) UX & Visualization. You scope will include the development, implementation and continuous improvement of operating models and solutions in close collaboration with relevant counterparts, setting related strategies and frameworks, as well as providing direction and processes together with your team.
**Required qualification and experience**:
- Academic education e.g. in business related field, in information technology, data science or adjacent engineering or natural sciences Advanced degree (Master, PhD) in relevant topic is a plus
- Leadership experience in a project-based environment & Agile ways of working
- Extensive professional and substantial managerial experience in potentially diverse roles. Also requires (considerably) deep and broad expertise combined with in-depth knowledge of competitors as well as challenges and developments in the industry to achieve objectives and to identify business opportunities.
- Experience in developing solutions including ideation, implementation and operation
- Prior experience in setting up a new organizational unit
- Domain knowledge in Finance, Procurement, HR, Global Business Services, sustainability or other related support function
- Understanding of how business strategy connects with a Digital, Data and IT strategy
- Have a holistic view of Enteprize architecture and the ability to drive incremental change towards a strategy.
- Experience in User Experience and customer centric IT development
- To inspire leading within and beyond formal structures
