**Summary**: This position is located at USAG Bavaria, FMWR, Army Lodging Tower Barracks (Grafenwoehr)/Germany. **Priority will be given to those that attend the job fair on 8 Oct 2025 from 0930 and 1330. Please see "how you will be evaluated" below.** **Incentives and Bonuses** - Incentives will not be paid. **This job is open to**: **The public**: - U.S. Citizens, Nationals or those who owe allegiance to the U.S. **Clarification from the agency**: United States (U.S.) Citizens and Non-U.S. Nationals who have resided in the U.S. or U.S. territory for three (3) or more continuous years immediately preceding the start of Federal affiliation. **Duties**: - Carpentry: Measures, cuts, constructs and/or repairs wood, composite building materials, and wood substitute items where specific fit and accuracy are required within allowable limits to produce a serviceable product. - Electrical/Plumbing: As needed, replaces worn or broken wall switches and outlets. Replaces ceiling light and/or burned out bulbs. Repairs faucets, resets toilets, and lavatories. - Painting: Prepare surfaces and applies paints, varnishes, and shellacs to newly installed lumber and existing building materials - Laborer: Loads and unloads heavy boxes, bulky supplies, and materials to and from trucks, dollies, etc.; moves heavy boxes/cartons by hand or dolly; opens crates and boxes using crowbar, cuts bands using shears; stacks boxes and cartons as directed. **Requirements**: **Conditions of employment**: - Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required. - Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position. - A one-year probationary period may be required. - Must possess a valid US Driver's license with the ability to obtain and maintain a valid US Army Europe (USAREUR) Certificate of license. License must be obtained within 30 days of arrival on site. - Willing and able to work rotating shifts to include nights, weekends and holidays. - Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2 to include a Tier 1 background investigation. - This position may require a health screening due to the lifting requirement of 40 lbs. Immunizations may be required as a condition of employment for the health and safety of those in the facility. - Work will be performed both indoors and outdoors. The worker may be required to perform in bad weather when having to work outdoors. - Exposed to dust and dirt - The worker will be exposed to the possibility of cuts, bruises, burns, and broken bones from falling objects or when working on ladders or driving a motor vehicle. **Qualifications**: **Resumes must be two pages (or less).** Resumes should clearly demonstrate the applicant's relevant experience, skills, knowledge and abilities as they pertain to this position. - Ability to communicate in English at a level to assure the duties described can be accomplished in a safe and satisfactory manner. - Demonstrated skills in successfully operating standard tools. FWS employees earn overtime pay for working more than 8 hours in a day or more than 40 hours in a week - whichever gives the employee more benefit. Regular full-time, regular part-time, and regularly scheduled flexible employees may receive Sunday premium pay for working on Sundays.
