**Financial Controller**

**(Hybrid role - office-based Monday to Thursday, with the option to work from home on Fridays)**

Cadent Sourcing has partnered with one of Europe’s most successful engineering-tech businesses over the last 20 years.

**We are seeking a Financial Controller to join their expanding team in Germany.**

**Required**:

- Qualification in finance, accounting, or controlling, either through commercial training with additional certification or a university degree in a related field.
- **4 + years**of proven experience preparing financial statements in compliance with **HGB standards.**:

- Knowledege with **FRS**, particularly for system or reporting transitions.
- Practical experience using **DATEV**, including data import, reporting, and account reconciliation.
- Proficient in **MS Office**, especially **Excel**.
- Excellent command of **English**, written and spoken.

**The Role**:

- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual **financial statements** in line with **HGB** and manage all related tax filings, including VAT returns.
- Oversee **general accounting**, covering accounts receivable, payable, and asset management, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Support **data transfers** and reconciliations between FRS-based systems and **DATEV**, including adjustments and reporting.
- Collaborate with **auditors, tax advisors, and internal teams** to ensure smooth financial operations and continuous process improvements.
- Contribute to the **digitalization and optimization** of finance processes across the organization.
