**YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Develop parenteral formulations for NCE and NBE for clinical studies, market supply and the corresponding manufacturing processes for projects (including scale-up and transfer to the clinical supply manufacturing site and commercial production site)
- Through collaboration with other functions and partners, evaluate scale-up and process optimization of novel delivery approaches of new modalities (such as viral and non-viral gene delivery)
- Support the implementation of digital solutions and automation measures with focus on modeling of manufacturing processes, Process Analytical Technologies, control strategies and data transfer to GMP manufacturing documents as well as registration documents
- Support the discussion in the design and implementation of new control and submission strategies for small molecules, biologics and new modalities
- Implement state-of-the-art know-how on parenteral formulations process characterizations utilizing QbD-based method development concepts
- Capture innovations in patents and publications and present them to relevant communities
- Represent formulation development in and/or lead the technical development team as well as represent the CMC function in global project teams
- Co-supervise and act as a scientific mentor (M/F/d) for pharmacy interns as well as PhD and Master students through collaborations with our academic partners

**WHO YOU ARE**
- University degree (PhD) in pharmaceutical sciences, pharmaceutical technology, biotechnology, bioengineering or closely related field combined with a long-term working experience in all aspects of parenteral formulation development, technology and production (late-stage development and commercial is a plus)
- Experience in formulation and process development of new modalities is a plus (e.g., peptide, LNP and/or AAV formulations)
- Experience in performing technology transfers
- Experience in interacting with cross-functional and project teams
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Passion to pursue and solve scientific challenges through unconventional and inspiring ideas
- High ability to handle multiple complex tasks in parallel as well as high degree of commitment and enthusiasm for continuous learning
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken
