You will work for our Connect tribe, which builds and operates interconnected shopping platforms for our B2B partners (e.g. CNN, Elpais, Business Insider, Focus Online, DailyMail, Microsoft, etc.). Connect aspires to be “the customer's easy, fair, and caring shopping partner from discovery to purchase”. We focus on helping consumers to make the best purchasing decision through shopping recommendations, product comparisons, reviews, deals, and coupons. The tribe traces its origins back to 2012 and operates across 21 markets in Europe, North America, APAC, and Latin America.

We are currently looking for a Director Engineering (M/F/d) to join our Engineering team in our office in Munich. Our Product and Technology team is autonomous and co-functional, operating in an agile environment with a customer focus. Our engineers, product managers, designers, QA, and analysts target outcomes rather than outputs, using OKRs to deliver our vision. Amongst many exciting challenges, you will:

- Lead and hire for our high-performing independent teams of developers
- Play the primary role in launching features and tools across Global Saving Groups digital channels to support growth for internal and external customers
- Create an environment focused on engineering excellence and efficient execution (prioritising code quality and sustainable architectural decisions).
- Promote and celebrate the successes of the team internally and externally, contributing to the attraction and retention of great talent
- Build trust with teammates and senior team members across the business

- Passionate about agile, quality and devops, with a desire to continuously improve in all aspects of the Software Development LifeCycle
