Cash Management Accountant Frankfurt

This position supports the Treasury Division by ensuring all legal entities of the Church in Europe have adequate liquidity.
- Manage daily liquidity by examining cash receipts and expenses
- Develop strategies to optimize cash position for the different legal entities of the Church
- Forecast cash requirements using historical trend analysis, future budgetary needs and financial reports
- Forecast daily cash position by utilizing cash receipts and disbursements
- Analyze cash flows for multiple legal entities and prepare monthly variance reports and recommendations
- Maintain a record of future inflows and outflows
- Account for foreign currency exchange differences
- Assist in preparing various financial estimates and expense reports
- Prepare journal entries and other relevant adjustments
- Reconcile forecast with actual inflows and outflows and solve all differences promptly
- Support other Treasury staff in their tasks as necessary
- Comply with policies concerning security and confidentiality of financial records
- Improve existing processes to minimize costs and increase efficiency of cash management
- Communicate with appropriate parties and coordinate resolution of issues as needed
- Prepare special reports and analysis as required
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting (or Finance or Business Management) is required
- Previous professional finance or accounting experience with a strong background in treasury
- Professional qualifications will be advantageous (e.g. CMA, CIMA, Certified Cash Manager, or Certified Treasury Professional)
- Well-grounded knowledge of financial and accounting theory and a practical knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles
- Ability to analyze cash flow and the impact on the financial statements
- Ability to communicate in English (business language) and preferably other European languages.
- Ability to perform analysis and solve problems. Strong interpersonal and organization skills
