**About The Role**:
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Business Development Director to join our expanding Government Services team at International SOS. You will be responsible for leading the approach to market for an innovative emergency medical solution known as Lifesaver, to global government markets & public health systems.

This is a great opportunity for an accomplished senior business development professional. Ideally, you’ll come from a background in, or bring technical knowledge of Pre-hospital emergency medicine (PHEM) or critical care medicine and join a diverse global organisation supporting the delivery of Global Healthcare Systems projects and partnerships worldwide. You could also have transferable skills from other public health life science disciplines.

**Responsibilities**
- Defining and executing a worldwide Business Development plan to approach the market for International SOS, in collaboration with our strategic JV partner (a major aerospace pioneer).
- Providing the commercial road map of International SOS’s and Lifesaver to identify the priority countries in which the LifeSaver concept should be promoted and distributed.
- Developing awareness and preference for International SOS and LifeSaver solutions in the international government sector marketplaces through network, communication and education initiatives, and participation and presentation in Pre-Hospital Emergency Medicine (PHEM) and Emergency Receiving Healthcare Systems and RHS networking events.
- Developing a clear priority and focused framework for opportunities emerging, from initial engagement, up-to to setting-up financial/funding mechanisms which can potentially be sought from appropriate government, public sector or not-for profit donor segments.Mapping the various complex funding mechanisms available at Member State & EU levels.

**Experience Required**:

- Extensive experience in business development, ideally in a context of an early go-to-market phase of an innovative solution.
- Ideally, knowledge of Pre-hospital emergency medicine (PHEM) and Emergency Receiving Healthcare Systems (ERHS) or a medical/life sciences background.
- Ideally experience of commercial and public sector funding protocols
- Experience in managing complex projects, ideally in a context where an external partner is involved (Joint-Venture type)
- Exposure to working in a cross-border engagement sales environment including previous working experience selling into complex emerging markets.
