**The Opportunity**:
We are looking for a creative and talented designer to support our global marketing team and the commercetools brand. Ideally, you're a confident, visual thinker; a self-motivated individual who is ready to make an impact with your design work. Through your active participation in various processes from brainstorming to final production, your creativity and skills are demonstrated in your online and offline creations.

**Your Mission**:

- Support the global marketing team, and work closely with our internal designers and other company departments.
- Create original design work for all marketing collaterals, including campaign assets, white papers, editorial layouts, conference materials, digital marketing, presentations, online and offline promotions, etc.
- Design assets and executions across all departments, from concept to final sign off
- Conceptualization, Image compositing, and illustration skills.
- Ability to work both within existing brand guidelines and further the development of our brand and guidelines.
- Drive design vision by actively contributing your ideas to all projects.
- Keep up to date with emerging technologies, design trends, and tools.

**What you need to succeed**:

- Degree in design, interactive media, related studies, or any relevant professional experience.
- At least 1-3 years of professional experience working in an advertising agency, a design studio, as an in-house designer, or a similar design environment.
- Highly proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud and Sketch or similar software. 3D skills would be a plus.
- Social media experience and knowledge of creating animated gifs
- Robust corporate branding experience, good typography, and layout skills.
- Good spoken and written English, German would be a plus.
- Creative flair with exceptional design skills and an eye for detail.
- Great team player who's also able to work independently by organizing and prioritizing the workload

**Nice-to-have**:

- Website and UX design
- Previous experience in the e-commerce industry
- Experience working with a strong brand presence
- Please note that this will be a limited-one-year-contract, with high chance of extending it to a permanent position._
