**YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- You design and optimize production processes for chemical and biotechnological active ingredient production as well as for formulation and packaging processes
- You create process and material flow models for process optimization as well as for scenario simulation for strategic decisions
- You use model, data or experience-based methods from which findings are aligned with partners and incorporated into a new process or factory concept
- You incorporate insights from the analysis of existing systems into the improvement of plants and processes in terms of capacity, manufacturing costs, investment costs, availability, product quality, sustainability, and safety
- In addition to internal partners and experts, you collaborate on projects with industrial partners and research institutions and participate in innovation projects

**WHO YOU ARE**

- You have a university degree in engineering with a focus on life science, preferably in the field of process engineering, systems engineering, chemical engineering, life science engineering, pharmaceutical engineering or comparable, preferably with a doctorate
- You have initial work experience and/or first industrial experience as well as expertise in the field of life science process engineering or comparable
- Prior knowledge in the fields of (mechanistic) process simulation and process optimization, energy efficiency, data-driven methods and material flow simulation is an advantage, we can close gaps together
- Your skills in join forces with team members and partners in the company are strong
- Your creativity and ability to involve and convince people round off your profile
- You are convinced that you learn throughout your life and that the lessons learned from failure lead to success
- Your written and spoken English skills are very good
- We flexibly use the possibilities of hybrid working. To experience community and collaboration, we are on-site at least 2-3 days per wee_k.
